What you will be able to do
- Explain how the competence-based curriculum differs from the old content-based one
- Read a syllabus topic and turn its learning outcomes into lesson objectives
- Plan a learner-centred lesson with clear activities and checks
- Assess learners continuously through observation, conversation and products
- Design and score an activity of integration
- Plan project work and school-based assessment records
Uganda's lower secondary curriculum asks teachers to move from covering content to building competences. This short course turns that idea into everyday practice: reading the syllabus, planning lessons, running learner-centred activities, and assessing fairly. Each lesson ends with a task you can use in your classroom tomorrow.
